Recently my family of four relocated to Los Feliz (Central LA) from Pasadena dropping down 800 ft. in elevation. Living in Franklin Hills of Los Feliz near the Rowena Road Diet, my two kids and I challenged ourselves to change at least one commuting habit a week. I feel our new community is ripe for positive change even though I often hear anti-bike people complaining about empty bike lanes that are wasting space. I want to prove them wrong.
Every Tuesday we need to commute 1.2 miles to join a school carpool. Using my BRIGHT ORANGE CARGO BIKE -- and extreme awareness -- we did it. We passed a family of four in bright orange safety vests who appeared to be biking to school. And four dudes on bikes. May that number of bike commuters keep rising.
