Situated on what were once General Patton's hunting grounds, Lacy Park has evolved into what surely must be one of the prettiest parks in Southern California. Grandiose palm trees stand proudly near the entrance of this well-manicured park, overlooking 35 acres of green grass and mature trees.
Two paved paths trace the perimeter of the large central grassy area, and are perfect for bike riding, rollerblading, or a leisurely stroll. Because the paths are flat, even the youngest cyclists are comfortable here, but make sure your child has the stamina to complete the ride. The outer path is 7/10 mile, while the inner path measures 4/10 mile.
Picnic benches are plentiful, as are shady oak trees, but barbeques are prohibited. The large playground area is exceptionally well-equipped and maintained, with clean restrooms conveniently close-by.
